The following is a list of some of the ideas that we have accumulated after visiting several churches over the past few weeks. We’ve tried to summarize them as best as we can, but if you click the title you will be able to see any video, interviews, or pictures we have accumulated from attending the actual event. Please realize that any part can be adjusted to fit the own needs of your community!
Ping-pong Ministry - Spokane, WA
Target Audience: Church members and non-members
Hours: Once a week on Saturday night from sunset until everyone is tired
Activities: Church social involving ping-pong tournaments, table games, food etc.
What you need: Ping-pong tables, games, food and people who want to have fun!
Kids Night Out – Hanover, PA
Target Audience: Kids. At Hanover, parents can watch while church members practice for an upcoming evangelistic series while waiting
Hours: Once a week, for about 2-3 hours.
Activities: Snacks, singing, bible stories, games, craft.
What you need: People who love interacting with kids!
Oakbrook Food Pantry - Reading, PA
Target Audience: People and families in need of food
Hours: Once a month for about 2-3 hours
Activities: Set up, and distribute food with those in need
What you need: Food, location, and volunteers.
Church Sewing Group/Prayer Quilt Ministry – Tulsa, OK
Target Audience: People who enjoy sewing!
Hours: Once a week for about 2-3 hours
Activities: Set up, and distribute food with those in need
What you need: A place for the group to sew and socialize. Quilt recipients. Opportunities for the quilts to be prayed over. A dedicated group of people with talent and a passion for quilting/sewing. Cloth, tools, budget.
Book Club - Reading, PA
Target Audience: People who enjoy reading books and discussing them with other people
Hours: Once a week for 1-2 hours
Activities: Light snack & book discussion
